For wine drinkers who know Arnaldo Caprai for Sagrantino, Cuvée Secrète reveals the white-wine side of the Montefalco estate. First released in 2012, it is made from an undisclosed blend and spends 6 months in French oak followed by at least 4 months in bottle.

Anise, citrus, white pepper and vanilla are joined by subtle menthol and mineral notes, with a touch of acacia honey. The palate is rounded and textured, balanced by fresh acidity and a savory finish. The time in oak adds weight without making the wine feel heavy.

Its combination of freshness and texture works particularly well with seafood, white meats and dishes featuring white truffle.
