Umbria da Gustare comes from my daily work with WonderUmbria in Torgiano, where I meet travellers who come to Umbria through food and wine. It brings together twenty years spent listening to producers and returning to the places where flavour takes shape before it reaches the table.

The book offers a wide view of Umbrian food culture. It moves from ancient roots to the land itself, where soils, microclimates and protected names help explain why certain flavours still belong so clearly to the places they come from. Wine and regional foods become a way to understand how history and daily work have shaped what Umbria brings to the table.

It is written for readers who love Umbria and want to approach it with more care. It can recall a journey, become a thoughtful gift, or open a first path into a region best understood through its table. After these pages, food feels like more than food.
