Polimante della Spina - Italian Red Wine from Umbria

Polimante della Spina comes from the beautiful hills of Marsciano in Umbria, inside the Colli Perugini zone, where the Peccia family has been making wine for generations. This premium red wine perfectly captures what makes Umbrian wines so special - the perfect blend of old-world tradition and modern winemaking that creates something truly remarkable.

Made from carefully selected Merlot and Gamay grapes grown in the limestone-rich soils around the historic village of Spina, this wine gets its character from the unique terroir of the region. After gentle fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine ages for 12 months in French oak barrels, which gives it incredible depth and those beautiful spicy notes that make it so memorable.

What you’ll get in your glass is a deep ruby-red wine with these rich, inviting aromas — think dark berries, a cozy hit of warm spices, and just a whisper of vanilla from its time in oak. Take a sip, and it hits that sweet spot: bold but elegant, with smooth-as-silk tannins and a finish that just lingers in the best way. It’s the kind of wine that’ll age beautifully — give it 5 to 10 years and it’ll only get better.

Only 1,600 bottles come out each year, so Polimante della Spina is definitely a rare find. It shines alongside grilled meats, anything with truffle (a big deal in Umbria), or a slab of well-aged cheese. Every bottle feels like a postcard from this hidden corner of Italy — where passionate local winemakers pour their heart into creating something truly special.
