RC2 by Famiglia Cotarella is a full-bodied Montefalco Sagrantino DOCG from Gualdo Cattaneo, in Umbria. Blackberry and ripe plum aromas lead to a rich palate, with firm but balanced tannins and a long finish. A good choice for slow-cooked beef, roast lamb or mature cheeses. Serve at 16-18°C.

The initials R.C. belong to both Riccardo Cotarella and his grandson, Riccardo Chiasso. Cotarella created RC2 to celebrate his grandson's birth, giving this Sagrantino a personal meaning. The grapes come from a three-hectare vineyard with clay-rich soil.
