Todi wines
In the Todi area, this selection is less about famous names and more about wines with a clear local character. Whites have an important role, especially through Grechetto and Trebbiano, while the reds can come from grapes that are still not widely known outside Umbria. Use this category when you want bottles with texture, small-production character and a less predictable style.
Textured whites, not just fresh whites
Grechetto is closely linked to Todi, but this page also includes whites with more grip and depth. Il Rimacerato Paolucci is a Trebbiano made with long skin contact in amphora: a white to choose when you want structure, texture and a more expressive style than a simple aperitif wine.
A red from a local grape
Nero Iacopone gives the red side of the category a clear identity. Made from Grero, it does not try to follow Montefalco or Torgiano: it brings Todi toward a more local, less expected expression of Umbrian red wine.
