Calicanto by Villa Mongalli offers a different side of Montefalco, an area better known for its Sagrantino reds. Made entirely from Trebbiano Spoletino, this white combines freshness and body, making it a good match for pasta with clams, baked sea bass or grilled fish with herbs. Aromas of passion fruit, sage and spice lead to a distinctive smoky note and a lingering lemon finish.

The grapes grow in southwest-facing vineyards at approximately 360 metres above sea level, on limestone soils rich in silica-bearing stones. Villa Mongalli links the wine's smoky character to these particular vineyard soils. Serve at 10-12°C.
