A small amount of propolis tincture is blended into the honey. Propolis is the resin bees collect from tree buds and rework into a natural sealant for the hive.

Bees use it to plug gaps, patch cracks, and line the inside of the hive against the outside world. It is a complex substance: resins, wax, essential oils, pollen, and minerals, in proportions that shift with the local plants and the time of year, so no two jars taste or smell quite the same.

The honey still leads: same texture, same everyday uses, just with more character. Stir a spoonful into tea, spread it on toast, or eat it straight off the spoon the way you would any other honey.
