straight ; it is drunk directly as it is, preferably served in a liqueur glass.
french style ; Absinthe is poured in a glass and a slotted teaspoon containing a sugar cube is laid on top. A pitcher is used to drip icy water onto the sugar to dissolve it slowly.
flambé; first the teaspoon with the sugar is placed on top of the glass and wet with the Absinthe. Then, the cube is ignited so that the flames caramelise the sugar, which drips onto the Absinthe setting it on fire as well. After approximately fifteen seconds the flames go out and the mixture is diluted with water.
Alcohol strenght : 55% vol.
