COLLE CIOCCO DOC WINE RED OF MONTEFALCO
Montefalco Rosso is one of the traditional wines from Umbria region.
It combines the elegance and ease of Sangiovese with the structure and tannins of the Sagrantino.
This wine is the perfect accompaniment for traditional Umbrian dishes.
Grape varietals: sangiovese, sagrantino, merlot.
Aging and Refinement: in French oak barrels for 12 months, follow in bottles for 4 months. It is a wine which may continue to develop for at least 4-5 years
Characteristics: intense ruby-red colour. Deep and complex aroma, with flavours of plum, cherry and spices. It has good structure, is balanced and persistent, easy to drink.
Production area: Montefalco-Umbria
Uses: Ideal with strong-flavoured pasta dishes like stringozzi with truffle, tagliatelle with goose sauce and risotto with porcini mushrooms. Perfect with red meats main courses and cheeses dishes.
Serving temperature: 16° C. Best uncorked 1 hour before
